Hey guys!!!
First of all I would like to thank every single one of you who took the time to not only read my last blog post, but also reach out to me.
Thanks for all your words of wisdom, recognition, encouragment and support.
Thanks for all the messages you’ve left me, not only face to face, but also for the public and private ones. Please stay in touch! I love to hear all your thoughts as well!
Dealing with depression and anxiety is aways though, but I think it’s important to let you guys know that it’s very important and helpful to reach out if you see a friend/colleague/classmate is struggling. The smallest gesture can literally change/save someone’s life and I would like to encourage you to keep that in mind.

It really means a lot to me, especially after such a tough week.
You have no idea how all your kind words have helped me this week and I’m happy to tell you that this last week I’ve been feeling so much better!
I’ve been doing a lot of fun stuff (reading, watching movies, watching series, meeting up with friends) and I picked up my morning meditation and breathing sessions again. This all has been a great help and I’m also trying to be nicer to myself. I know that I always expect the very best of myself and I am not satisfied with anything less than that, but of course that’s not realistic at all. We all have our good and our bad days and for me the most important thing to do is not to dwell too long on the bad ones!
This week I’ve been hanging out with people a bit more and it has been good for me because I tend to just bottle all my feelings up inside and remove myself from any social activities/conversations.

Last week Sunday I went to see the last opera production here in Cardiff:
‘La Cenerentola’ by Rossini. I really liked this production and, as I went to a matinee performance, it was so great to see a lot of children in the audience!
I really enjoyed all the performances I have seen

This week was a relatively mellow week. We did have two very long days at the beginning of the week, but the rest was pretty manageble. All my classmates are working intensively on their opera scenes, but since I’m not in that I have a way lighter workload. On the other hand, I am actively working on my master research which is beginning to finally look like something nice!
Friday we all went out for ice cream at this amazing place called ‘Coco Gelato‘.
The staff was super friendly and helpful and they had plenty of vegan options!!! YAAAY!

Yesterday I went to see ‘A star is born’ with one of my friends and man that movie is amazing!
We both expected a “fun” and “happy” movie, but it turned out to be a real tearjerker. By the end of it everybody in the theatre was bawling their eyes out.
I thought it was a real amazing an honest story and if you have a chance to check it out, definetely do that! Other than that I’m not going to tell you anything about it, because I don’t want to spoil anything for those of you who haven’t seen it yet.
And that was it for this week!
I really want to thank all of you once again for taking the time to read everything and PLEASE stay in touch. As stated earlier I really love hearing your thoughts, feelings and stories as well!
Below you can find my poem of the week! Take care and stay tuned!

Song of Hope – Thomas Hardy
O sweet To-morrow! –
After to-day
There will away
This sense of sorrow.
Then let us borrow
Hope, for a gleaming
Soon will be streaming,
Dimmed by no gray –
No gray!
While the winds wing us
Sighs from The Gone,
Nearer to dawn
Minute-beats bring us;
When there will sing us
Larks of a glory
Waiting our story
Further anon –
Anon!
Doff the black token,
Don the red shoon,
Right and retune
Viol-strings broken;
Null the words spoken
In speeches of rueing,
The night cloud is hueing,
To-morrow shines soon –
Shines soon!
Love to read your blog, even though we talk every day :-)See you next week 😀
